Dear Parents / Caregivers,

Sydney Academy of Chess will be running chess coaching / chess club after school on a Wednesday 3.00pm to4.00pm, in Term 2 for students in Years 3-6.

The class begins with an interactive lesson by an experienced coach. During the second half of the lessonstudents play games against each other, putting newly learned strategies into practice. As the term progressesand the students become profi cient in all the basics, the lessons will move on to more complex ideas such asstrategy, middle game ideas and chess techniques.

Chess coaching lessons will begin in Week 1, Term 2 (Wednesday 1st May). The last lesson will be in Week 10,Term 2 (Wednesday 3rd July). This will be a 10-week coaching class. Your child must be committed to attendingall 10 weeks of lessons as prices are based upon this fi gure. There will be no refunds for any missed lessons.
